Cocorico is a local French food company that is opening its first Bakery & Cafe after 5 years at Farmers Markets. We are excited to expand our team along with our growing business.

  • Location: Cocorico Bakery & Cafe - 1600 Division St, #120

    Store Hours: 7:30am-3:00pm

    Employment Type: Part-time available

    Pay: $15/hr + tips

    Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and customer-focused Bakery & Cafe Team Member to join our company. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the local small business/food community, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and be looking to grow along with the company. As a Bakery & Cafe Team Member, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable French experience for our customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, recommend products with wisdom, and provide friendly and efficient service. Ensure that all customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
    Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other Cocorico team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
    Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including sandwiches, coffee, and other menu items, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
    Processing Orders: Accurately handle transactions, process payments, and ensure that orders are communicated to the team.
    Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment, surfaces, and dining areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
    Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about our French menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions, in order to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
    Involved in other related tasks as needed

    Qualifications:

    -Previous food service and/or barista experience preferred
    -Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    -Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
    -Adaptable to the changing pace of a food service environment
    -Integrity and respect for one’s peers
    -Ability to stand for extended periods.
    -Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
    -Bend, kneel, and reach to perform various tasks.

  • Location: Cocorico Kitchen inside Citizen’s Kitchen - 975 Main St - Nashville

    Shift Hours: 2:00am-10:00am

    Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time available

    Pay: $20/hr guaranty (starting hourly + average pool tip per hour)

    Job Description: We are seeking to expand our kitchen team with part time and full time employees to help meet the needs of our growing bakery! The ideal candidate will be passionate about the local small business/food community, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and be looking to grow along with the company. The kitchen staff will be assisting the kitchen lead/head baker in the daily production for Cocorico Cuisine.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Food related responsibilities include:
    -Scaling ingredients according to a recipe
    -Mixing different types of dough
    -Laminating, shaping bread & pastries
    -Other production tasks related to our bakery menu
    -Baking breads, pastries and quiche
    -Packaging products for delivery and ensuring daily order quantities are accurate
    -Communicate with other team members on- and off-site to make sure that production flows in an efficient manner and that all products meet company standards before being delivered
    -Maintain health and safety requirements
    -Keep a sanitary work environment
    -Involved in other duties as needed

    Qualifications:

    -Excitement for French/European cuisine and a desire to learn new skills
    -Previous food service experience preferred, experience with mixing dough, baking and lamination is a plus
    -Works well independently and is self directed
    -Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
    -Excellent time management skills, prioritization of tasks and attention to detail
    -The ability to work in a team and support one another
    -A desire to collaborate and provide feedback with the team to raise quality standards and adapt processes as needed
    -Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds as well as bending, kneeling and reaching to perform various tasks.

    Employment Type: Seasonal Part Time

    Pay: $22/hr (starting hourly + pool tips)

    Job Description: We are looking for a person interested in selling our French baked goods at a Farmers’ Market booth. If you enjoy creating community and bringing smiles to peoples faces this could be the job for YOU! This position is a great introduction to French cuisine, culture, and values. It’s ideal for energetic individuals looking for a seasonal part-time position (May-October) with potential for growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    -Transport and set up/tear down market equipment
    -Serve customers, handle payments and represent Cocorico Cuisine at different Farmer’s Markets and events during the year.
    -Be creative about product displays and leave customers with a great experience!
    -Share input and collaborate with the team on potential new products to bring, inventory, etc.

    Qualifications:

    -Great organizational skills and capacity to perform duties under deadlines.
    -Excellent time management, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
    -Capacity to work in autonomy and in a fast-paced environment.
    -Ability to stand for extended periods of time and must be able to lift 50 lbs from floor to chest as well as standing for approximatively 5 hours at a time.
    -Reliable transportation to/from your market.

    This position is seasonal from May to October.

    Job Description: We are seeking a Bakery & Cafe Assistant Manager that will play a crucial role in ensuring that day to day operations run smoothly while fostering a positive work environment for the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the local small business/food community, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and be looking to grow along with the company.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership: Assist the Bakery Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising bakery staff. Lead by example and provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members.
    Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other Cocorico team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
    Operational Support: Play a key role in overseeing daily bakery operations, including food and beverage preparation, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety standards.

    Reporting: Help prepare regular reports on bakery performance, including sales, expenses, and customer feedback. Share findings with upper management or ownership as required.
